1.   mechanize (v.) 

-to change a process, so that the work is done by machines rather than people

-example: The farm had been modernized and mechanized.

 

 

 2.   interior (adj.)

 -connected with the inside part of something

 -example: The interior surrounding looks great.

 

 

 3.   libel (n.)

 -the act of printing a statement about somebody that is not true and that gives people a bad opinion of them; a printed statement about somebody that is not true

 -example: The newspaper's attorneys argued that the article was not a libel.

 

 

 4.   conceive (v.)

 -(1)to form an idea, a plan, etc. in your mind

 -(2)to imagine something

 -example: When a woman conceives or conceives a child, she becomes pregnant.

 

 

 5.   irrigation (n.)

-uspplying dry land with water by means of ditches etc.

-example: The water gate is built for irrigation.

 

 

6.   abundantly (adv.)

-very clear; in large quantities

-example: The contents of the book gives you knowledge abundantly.

 

 

 7.   cacti (n.)

-a plant that grows in hot dry regions, especially one with thick stems covered in spines but without leaves.

 -example: There are many different types of cactus.

 

 

8.   sagebrush (n.)

 -a plant with leaves that smell sweet that grows in dry regions in the western US; an area of ground covered with sagebrush

 -example: Do you see sagebrush over there?

 

 

9.   sundial (n.)

-a device used outdoors, especially in the past, for telling the time when the sun is shining. A pointed piece of metal throws a shadow on a flat surface that is marked with the hours like a clock, and the shadow moves around as the sun moves across the sky.

-example: You can look for sundial in the small town.

 

 

10.   rigorous (adj.)

-(1)done carefully and with a lot of attention to detail thorough

 -(2)demanding that particular rules, processes, etc. are strictly followed

 -example: The government performs the rigorous enforcement of the law.

 

  

11.   fungus (n.)

 -any plant without leaves, flowers or green colouring, usually growing on other plants or on decaying matter.Mushrooms and mildew are both fungi; a covering of mould or a similar fungus, for example on a plant or wall

 -example: I like fungus.

 

 

12.   decay (n.)

 -(1)the process or result of being destroyed by natural causes or by not being cared for (= of decaying) 

-(2)the gradual destruction of a society, an institution, a system, etc.

-example: The society is sinking in the decay.

 

 

13.   ingredient (n.)

-(1)one of the things from which something is made, especially one of the foods that are used together to make a particular dish

-(2)one of the things or qualities that are necessary to make something successful

 -example: Patience and confidence are two main ingredients to complete the mission.

 

 

14.   decompose (v.) 

-(1)to be destroyed gradually by natural chemical processes

-(2)to divide something into smaller parts; to divide into smaller parts

-example: Let's decpmpose the cake into five pieces.

 

 

15.   debris (n.)

-(1)pieces of wood, metal, brick, etc. that are left after something has been destroyed

-(2)pieces of material that are not wanted and rubbish/garbage that are left somewhere

-example: Look at this debris.

 

 

16.   tuning (n.)

(music) calibrating something (an instrument or electronic circuit) to a standard frequency

-example: The conductor pays attention to the tuning.

 

 

17.   pecan (n.) 

-the nut of the American pecan tree with a smooth pinkish-brown shell

-example: Buy some pecans when you get home.

 

 

18.    eliminate (v.) 

-(1)to remove or get rid of something/somebody; to defeat a person or a team so that they no longer take part in a competition, etc

-(2)to kill somebody, especially an enemy or opponent

-example: Eliminate that theft if you can.

 

 

19.   trial (v.)

-to test the ability, quality or performance of something to see if it will be effective or successful  

-example: God trialed me to face the music.

 

 

20.   mechanism (n.)

-a set of moving parts in a machine that performs a task

-example: What a marvelous mechanism!

 

 

21.   exert (v.) 

-to use power or influence to affect somebody/something; to make a big effort

-example: We exert ourselves to get the victory.

 

 

22.   rosemary (n.) 

-a bush with small narrow leaves that smell sweet and are used in cooking as a herb

-example: Put some rosemary to favor it.

 

 

23.   skeleton (n.) 

-the structure of bones that supports the body of a person or an animal

-example: I hate seeing the skeleton.

 

 

24.   stem (v.)

-(1)to stop something that is flowing from spreading or increasing

-(2)to be the result of something

-example: The accident stems from his carelessness.

 

 

25.   stony (adj.)

-(1)having a lot of stones on it or in it

-(2)showing a lack of feeling or sympathy

-example: She is such a stony woman.
