-a mutual or reciprocal action; interacting

-example: We had good interaction.

 

 

2.   crusade (v.)

-to make a long and determined effort to achieve something that you believe to be right or to stop something you believe to be wrong

-example: She has ability to crusade right away.

 

 

3.   doctrine (n.)

 -a belief or set of beliefs held and taught by a Church, a political party, etc.; a statement of government policy

 -example: They always follow the doctrine without hesitation.

 

 

 4.   hypothesis (n.)

 -(1)an idea or explanation of something that is based on a few known facts but that has not yet been proved to be true or correct

 -(2)guesses and ideas that are not based on certain knowledge

 -example: Just write down the hypothesis first.

 

 

5.   territory (n.)

 -land that is under the control of a particular country or ruler

 -example: The French army invaded the Austrian territories of Piedmont and Lombardy.

 

 

6.   navigator (n.)

 -a person who navigates, for example on a ship or an aircraft

 -example: I want to be a navigator.

 

 

 7.   prudent (adj.)

 -sensible and careful when you make judgements and decisions; avoiding unnecessary risks

 -example: Be prudent when you make decisions.

 

 

 8.   voyage (n.)

-a long journey, especially by sea or in space

-example: She's going to go on a voyage.

 

 

 9.   palm (n.)

 -the inner surface of the hand between the wrist and the fingers

-example: My palm hurts.

 

 

10.   microprocessor (n.)

-a small unit of a computer that contains all the functions of the central processing unit

-example: I never see microprocessor.

 

 

11.   broth (n.)

-thick soup made by boiling meat or fish and vegetables in water

-example: I like broth better.

 

 

12.   bruise (n.)

-a blue, brown or purple mark that appears on the skin after somebody has fallen, been hit, etc.; a mark on a fruit or vegetable where it is damaged

-example: I got a big bruise on my wrist.

 

 

13.   flip (v.)

-(1)a small quick hit with a part of the body that causes something to turn over

-(2)a movement in which the body turns over in the air

-(3)a quick look through the pages of a book, magazine, etc.

-example: Just flip the newspaper.

 

 

14.   filter (n.)

-a device containing paper, sand, chemicals, etc. that a liquid or gas is passed through in order to remove any materials that are not wanted; a device that allows only particular types of light or sound to pass through it; a light on a set of traffic lights showing that traffic can turn left or right while traffic that wants to go straight ahead must wait

-example: She smokes cigarettes with filters.

 

 

15.   overflow (v.)

-(1)to be so full that the contents go over the sides; to have too many people in it

-(2)to spread beyond the limits of a place or container that is too full

-example: The bus overflowed with people.

 

 

16.   paddle (n.)

-(1)a short pole with a flat wide part at one or both ends, that you hold in both hands and use for moving a small boat, especially a canoe, through water; a tool or part of a machine shaped like a paddle, especially one used for mixing food; an act or period of walking in shallow water with bare feet

-(2)a bat used for playing table tennis; a piece of wood with a handle, used for hitting children as a punishment

-example: Use the mixer's paddle attachment to mix the dough.

 

 

17.   parlor (n.)

-reception room in an inn or club where visitors can be received

-example: Just wait in the parlor.

 

 

18.   throng (n.)

-a crowd of people

-example: Wow! The throng are roaring.

 

 

19.   thrust (v.)

-to push something/somebody suddenly or violently in a particular

-example: Don't thrust me like this.

 

 

20.   eloquently (adv.)

-In an eloquent manner; stated well.

-example: The Furies argue eloquently.

 

 

21.   tilt (v.)

-to move something so that one side is lower than the other.

-example: Athena tilts the judges’ vote.

 

 

22.   crest (v.)

-to reach the top of something such as a hill.

-example: Lovely and intricate, and crested with gold.

 

 

23.   pliant (adj.)

-soft and changing shape when pressed;willing to be persuaded or controlled.

-example: He wrought leg-armor out of pliant tin.

 

 

24.   rout (n.)   

-A complete defeat of an opponent in a battle, competition, or election.

-example: And turned the battle into a rout in which Achilles killed every Trojan that crossed his path.

 

 

25.   arbitrary (adj)

-not seeming to be based on a reason, system or plan and sometimes seeming unfair
